I was raised in the church growing up. I struggled with my faith for many years. Yet one night in the midst of all of my anger and heartache I turned to God and laid all of my burdens on Him. He met me instantly with His grace and from that day gently pursued my heart meeting me where I was at. It took many more years until I surrendered my life to Him. In doing so I have felt God's call to do mission work. He has blessed me with the ability to speak and learn languages quickly and connect with others who are different from me. On a day to day basis I am a Kindergarten Dual Language Spanish teacher. Jesus loved spending time with kids and I think its because so much of Him can be seen in them. I love to learn from my students and the families I serve and see the unique gifts that each one God has blessed with. I reflect a lot on how gentle God is with us and likewise when sharing the gospel with others I enjoy meeting people where they are at. A relationship with our Heavenly Father is a continuous walk to pursue Him and to be pursued by Him. My hope and prayer for this trip is that others would come to know of God's love and seek His heart.
